John 18:33-38a "Political Christianity" Rev. Keith Reid

Studies show that the past twenty years have seen a drastic increase in churches participating in everything from voter registration drives to outright lobbying for specific issues and candidates to even allowing certain candidates to come and speak during their worship service. Brothers and sisters, we’ve gotten it wrong. That is not what church is about; God is not the God of Republicans or of Democrats, He is not the God of conservatives or liberals, He is not red nor is He blue. God is a God of ALL people; He desires ALL people to come into a saving relationship with Him and serve Him in the world. When we spout politics in our pulpits or in our churches, we send the message that God aligns Himself with certain political ideologies and that simply isn’t the case. Join us as we examine the intersection between faith and politics.
