This week, we are starting a special Advent series titled “God’s Plan.” This series will be focused on the fact that the coming of Jesus was planned by God from the very beginning; and the fact that God’s plan for Jesus was not only foretold but was actually fulfilled serves as a promise to assure us that His perfect plan for our lives and for this world will ultimately be fulfilled, as well. Today, we are looking at Adam and Eve hiding from God after they sinned and the pronouncement of God's curse upon the serpent for tempting them. As we look at this, we are going to consider how it shows us the importance of owning up to our sins and confessing them to God, the importance of remembering that God has provided a way out of our slavery to sin and death, and how we have the hope and security of knowing that God's perfect plan has been in place since the beginning of time.
