Ephesians 5:21-6:4 "The Family Model" Rev. Keith Reid

This week, we are continuing our series in Ephesians with a look at Paul's instructions for the family. And, what we are going to see is that the family that God designed and structured is the nuclear family. This is a family that has a husband and wife who are married and living at home together, who are father and mother to their kids, who also live in the home with them, and share the responsibilities of raising the kids and supporting the family. In other words, the nuclear family is the traditional family; and it is constantly being challenged and questioned in our society today. Now, in this sermon, we are not going to get bogged down in the reasons why this is happening, why the nuclear family is under attack in our society as that is not the purpose. Instead, we are simply going to look at how the nuclear family is, in fact, God’s design and intention for families.
