Micah 4:6-13 "The Grand Plan"

In this passage, Micah presents to his audience God’s grand plan that, while the people are going to go through some dark times at the hands of Assyria and Babylon, God promises to preserve a remnant, deliver them from the darkness, and restore them to power and glory.  Therefore, this passage is meant as a source of encouragement and hope for the people as they face the threat of Assyrian conquest at their doorstep and the prophesied Babylonian conquest to come in the future.  It's a promise from God that His grand plan is for better and brighter days ahead.  As such, we can apply the truths of this passage to our lives today to help us realize that, because we live in a sinful, broken world, we must have hope, we must trust in God and His plan, and we must embrace suffering.
