1 John 2:15-17 "Do Not Love"

These three short verses are quite interesting because they seem to be contradictory to what we read in the rest of Scripture where we are told repeatedly of the importance of love. But, here in 1 John 2:15, we read the command “Do not love.” That’s a bit shocking; it’s like we, as Christians, don’t even like the way that it sounds…”do not love.” So, how do we make sense of this; what does that mean for us? Well, let’s dive into the text and figure it out.
