In this passage, John is laying out the case for who Christ is and what He accomplished for us. That’s why this section is such an important and timely one for us today because it helps us to understand exactly who the true Christ is so that we can stand up for Him in our day and age.  Specifically, we’re going to talk about how we must embrace the fact that we cannot dissociate Jesus from the Cross, we must truly embrace the rich theological heritage that explains to us so much about Christ, and we must be careful of who we align ourselves, and our churches, with spiritually.  So, let’s jump into the passage together.
