It is plain to see that our world today is in darkness; and, whether or not it knows it, it’s longing for the light.  But, the great thing about that is that God has already given this world the light some 2000 years ago in Jesus.  The Son of God, our Savior came to this world to bring light into the darkness and, as His followers, as the children of God, we Christians are tasked with being agents of that light, with reflecting the light of Christ into the world.  However, what we see from Paul is that, if we are going to be the light in the darkness, we must live as children of the light; meaning, we must live as God has called us to live, following His laws and His commands. So, let's look at the passage together and see what Paul has to tell us about living as light.
